I had an oat fudge bar today from Starbucks. I bought it to have with my coffee instead of the lemon raspberry loaf that I normallly have because Daphne has been talking about them for a while and I wanted to see what the fuss is about. Imagine part oatmeal cookie and part chocolate ganache. This thing must be something like a gazillion calories. Anyway it was pretty good, but it was way to much for a morning snack. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of chocolate things first thing in the morning. A great pain au chocolat would be part of my imaginary perfect breakfast. But this was too much. Maybe if I split it with someone or saved half for later I would have felt better. Or maybe if I had it as an afternoon snack it would be better. That or as a dessert. But first thing in the morning was a little much. I really need to start eating better. Get some fruits and vegetables into me.
