Steak and Shake

Another day, another burger. On my previous trips to Cordele, I'd seen and heard about Steak and Shake, but I'd never been. As I'm sure is clearly evident, I love a good burder and milk shake. Nothing quite like it. Sure, there are days when I love foie gras prepared in elaborate ways paired with expensive sauternnes, but really, a great burger and a shake will make me just as happy. I am my father's son in many ways. I guess I'm just going to have to accept that.

So after meeting up with my parents near the Atlanta airport, we headed for lunch at Steak and Shake. He loves a good burger and milk shake. I had the steak burger, a double patty, toasted bun. Fresh lettuce, tomato. I'd compare the burger with In-N-Out Burger. Very tasty. Less greasy than the burger at Holeman and Finch the night before. Fresher than the Dairy-Rite burger. Solid all around. And the shake, what a great milk shake. Thick and rich. Just what a great diner milk shake should be. I'll be stopping at Steak and Shake again for sure.
